You mean really big tyres, Oli?

I would ask the builder of this oil-field-monster. Maybe he can make you some copies. Itīs 1/24 scale.

Shame, shame on you for exposing us to this. I simply did not need to see it. Some of us have all too little common sense and much too much faith in our abilities (and machine tools!) to reliably be able to keep our ambitions in check when exposed to ideas such as this.

But it's brilliant, isn't it!!!

I wonder how he cut the cleats for the tyres? And how he glued them in place such that they could be turned on a lathe without coming off? Too damn cool!!

O snap that is awesome!!! His JIGS are better than any MODEL I've ever built. That is someone who truly enjoys his hobby.

I'd buy one...

Re: Bigass tyres- where could I buy some?

Hi Olivier,

as stated in the PM (and ifor everybody else interested):
similar military tires (and heaps of other stuff) is available from KFS

www.kitformservices.com

Hope that helps. Their stuff is usually good to excellent quality...if a bit pricey sometimes.

If the ones on that website are the models, how big are the real trucks?

They must be seriously, er, bigass.
