Mercedes CLK DTM 2000 Team D2

After working on so many Revell kits, it's an absolute joy to finish up a Tamiya. They just fall together! Had a small hang up on getting the body on the chassis, but not noticeable. A few decal hangups, but 95% of the car is covered in decals! The grain shows up larger in the images, but in 1:1 it turned out great.

Progress thread here shows interior shots and some more closeups.

Great looking car. You really did a excellent job with the decals. I have this one as well as the Original Teile in my stash, and I've been hesitant to build one because I don't want to screw up the decals.

By the way, I noticed the decals on the rear wing was on upside-down in the WIP. How did you fix it?

Kanedge generously gave me his spare decals when he built this street version. Thanks kanedge!

godfather: The engine is box stock with no real detailing. Here are some shots from the WIP:

And an interior shot:

This is one sharp build! Very clean and attractive. The brake rotor texture is spot on, too!

Very nice work
I also have done this model. Maybe I“ll build Warsteiner and Original Teille to complete the lot. If I do so I“ll use completed CF decals. That would be a big challenge because I never used CF
