Angry 99 silo heater and airshock problems

Heater in front blows cold air. Several minutes after running it will blow warm for only a few seconds. The heat works fine in back. I think. Hard for me to get back there while driving. Feels warm though. Liftgate won't stay up Either airshocks or the Tbar above. How do I tell which parts to replace. Any advise would be much appreciated.

welcome to A/F. you could have a low coolant level in the coolant recovery tank , thats a simple top up with the coolant that is now in use. or the van has that head gasket thats leaking, here is a link http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=883188. part 2 of your post, the lift gate has gas shocks two of them that will need to be replaced. here is a link http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,ca...,parttype,1404 I hope this will help you out 463.

Re: 99 silo heater and airshock problems

i try to put the horse in front of the cart. i find it saves me a lot of time and money in the long run. on the heat problem i had to put a new rad cap on as the van had a hard time making heat when it was idling at -30o f. that cap was 2 years old and when tested was 2 to 3 lbs lower than the 16 lbs it is rated at, so a new one was put on and the heat is good. so if your coolant is in the normal range in the recovery/overflow tank change the rad cap $7 . good luck 463
