Re: 3.4 engine intake gasket repair info.

Just finished a 3.4 intake repair ('98 Silhouette), cannot test my repair as I have no spark. Cam sensor plug shows power on (pink wire) w/ key on, the other side 4-pin plug on the ICM has no power w/ key on, should that side have power also? History: replaced the spark plugs during the intake repair. Had no ingintion problems what so ever prior to the intake repair. Fuses all look OK. Had a slight contact spark off the alternator & valve cover during disassembly (forgot to disconnect the battery). The van only has 89k miles on it, ran great prior to the intake gasket issue. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 3.4 engine intake gasket repair info.

I tried once jsut to leave the battery hooked up, while doing an intake repair. First and last time. Shorted a wire (I don't remember exactly which one), put it back together only to find I fried the PCM on the truck. Learned the hard way.
