AMT Dodge Viper

Just acquired a half built AMT '95 Viper RT/10 from a friend who is moving abroad.

I tried & failed to build the GTS version when I was a kid (really messed up painting the bodyshell) but from memory it seemed like a good kit. However as I never got close to finishing it, I never had the chance to find out whether there are any pitfalls to watch out for....

I've had a search through the older threads & I can find very little info about the AMT version (plenty about Revell's GTS though) aside from a few aborted builds & one completed one but with sparse data.

Does anyone have any tips / info regarding any problems (if there are any) & advice regharding this build?

Many thanks

Re: AMT Dodge Viper

I built this many moons ago and it went together very smoothly I think, I had modded mine though, I got rid of the targa bar, and smoothed off the decklid. But like I said I don't remember any problems, I'd be careful though with the exhaust and the chassis, I think it gets a little tricky there. This was actually one of AMT's better kits back in the day(when most of their new stuff was really good). Also one thing to me was that the wheels were sized a bit small making the tire/wheel combo look a little strange.

Re: AMT Dodge Viper

Thanks for confirming that

Apologies for the late reply - haven't had time to do any modelling for ages, so completely forgot about this. However hope to make some progress on this kit soon!
