Re: Favorite VW?

I voted for other because I like the air-cooled busses, even though they are slow and noisy and don't have much heat in winter.
They seem bigger inside than outside and are easy to drive. They can carry a lot of weight and are pretty simple, mechanically. I have a '69 with a camper bed and it's all purpose. On a trip someone can sleep in the back and alternate drivers. It gets about 24 mpg on the highway, which isn't too bad.
I wouldn't want to run into anything though because you are sitting right at the nose.

My vote is in Other as there was not enough choices. I am a Karmann Ghia fan, but as a youngster, there was something about the Thing that I thought was totally cool. There is something about the Ghia's body design that is brilliantly sexy. (No wonder it was my father's favorite car! Just took me to move out (10 years ago) and after his death (6 years ago) to realize why (about a month ago) he had a Ghia for as long as since I can remember.)
