it would help if you specified what year Si you are referring to.

6th gen:

the Si has a DOHC VTEC engine, 160 hp, compared to the Ex SOHC VTEC, 127 hp.

5th Gen:

basically the same as the ex, but the Si only came in hatchback.

You mean, you don't care about the new SI's? Oh yeah, that's right, neither do I!

IMO, they look like the Ford Focus or a miniature Toyota Matrix. I think they're kinda ugly. I still wouldn't mind test driving one so I can see what they are all about.

I thought the new Si had a 2.0L enginge... it has the same HP, but more torque. This means that the peak HP is reached at lower RPM's. Correct me if I'm mistaken.

Red face Give it a chance!!!

Yeah, you guys are probably right that it looks ugly.... at first! But I bet none of you have seen one up close and personal... just get behind the wheel of one, and you'll forget all first impressions. (take a test drive, and let me know how it feels)

Just don't rule it out because it looks funny in the magazines!

Not to mention full disc brakes, stiffer suspension, different interior pieces...

And the new SI is a hatch while the other Civics are either coupes or sedans
