Yea, I'm scared of those big ass socer mom suvs...

Even worse is when I see them come thru the drive thru at work and most of them have radar detectors on their winshields...

Oh joy, not only are they driving incredibly heavy oversized hunks of metal, but they are speeding :P

Crazy ass socer moms... one of em ever runs into me, I don't care how poor they are, I'll take it all the way... let em live in that suv

Bryan:

You didnt get my last joke at all, did you? I have no idea where in my post I made it sound as if I "tryed everything you could and wish you could do more." So basically, you believed that I wanted to prosecute her as much as I could becuase of the tone of my message? If that's not an assumption, then I don't think I really know what one is...

I get a little nervous sometimes when people are pulling up really fast behind me. I have to drive by the "scene of the accident" when I go up to work. I went by there for the first time today, and I thought about it. My fear of the car behind me isnt very bad though; i have friends who fear the car behind them more than me.

I want compensation for having to drive this car around, and be without my precious Civ for a month I didnt ask to be hit. It's her fault, and i want some due compensation and some serious ass kissing to make up for it...

Well Bryan, all you've done here is show that you can post a reply to a quote. The quotes that you selected from my first post indicate that I was upset; however, if you read more closely, and consider meaning, I indicate nowhere that I "tryed (which is spelled incorrectly, by the way) everything I could, or " wanted to do more"

Had I prosecuted her for external damages, or used the full extent of the law against her )I.E.- getting a police report so she would get a ticket), then maybe you'd have a case. However, since I didn't do everything I could, or even try, your claim is invalid.\

Theres a difference between anger, and accomplishment. Find it.

Yeah guys, I have to agree with him on this one. He just got rear ended, he's driving a rental, which is a Dodge all the worse, and he comes on automotive forums to get away from driving the Dodge and get some sympathy from fellow enthusiasts and he gets cut to pieces by critics and judgemental back seat drivers.

Hey, "shit happens". He has a right to be angry, but at least he didn't go through with anything. As he said, anger and accomplishment have different meanings. I never said he had a reason to be angry but I offered words of sympathy to help him relieve of the situation.

I'm in the process of shelling out $15,000.00 on a civic hatch back, to convert it to a type r civic. If I got rear-ended, you can bet your ass I'll be pissed to hell if I go from a low 13 second car to a mid 17 second car on stock suspension for even two days. I'd give new meaning to the word accomplishment if that happened.

auke1, sorry about your ride man, I hope everything works out for you, with the best of fate. (I say fate because we all make our own luck depending on the good of our hearts)

And Bryan, chill dude. It sounds like you're speaking from a perspective in which you rear ended someone and got sued for it. Hey, it happens. TBH, there are a lot of "soccer moms" out there that forget what it says in the DMV handbook.

Drive safe people, but remember, accidents happen, you can't expect the people that aren't at fault to be cheerful about it.

ya know whats worse though? some time ago (back in 1996) i had a 92 civic hatch that was painted a beautiful metallic blue and had sum fine, fine rims on it. it looked so fine girls literally used to yell out their numbers from their cars while driving side by side. i tell you i was so much in love with this machine. It lasted for exactly 6 months and BOOM, some bitch ass muthaf*ka stole it. they found it a few days later stripped and all fucked up. my insurance didnt cover all the aftermarket stuff either, so i dropped them like they were hot. but it pisses me off to think that sum asshole is driving around on my rims and tires that he got for free while i sat without a car for 2 months. my insurance at the time was crap too. they didnt even get me a rental, and keep in mind they told me i had full coverage. they gave me just what that car was worth and that was the end of it. accidents happen and i always try to understand that but when a kat steals it from u, they intentionally leave u stranded. i tell u, if i would have found out who had done that back then, the cops would have found his body in the bayou somewhere. now i've let it go, but i still think its a fucked up situation.

Yeah NuEra, that does suck.

My friend had a hatchback with a GSR motor, fully built, head package, bolt on's, ecu, everything. He had a carbon fiber hood and GSR rims on it. I'm talking about a fully loaded, daily driven racing machine. They stole it from him.

He cried on his knees right there in his parking lot. Nothing will ever replace what he had in that car or the fact that he paid for everything on that car cash, no credit cards or anything.

To add to the story, my friends were at the race scene in SD and they saw his car there, all decked out with TV screens in the dash and 18" rims. It still had the same plates and the guy said in a smart mouth about who he took it from, and that it was HIS car now, my friends beat him where he stood and thrashed the car up, TV's, rims and everything.

My friend already has a CRX with a b20 vtec frankenstein motor, so my friends just left that fool without a car to know how it feels.

God, that sucks... I would have just taken the car back... Or knocked the guy out, buckled him in the seat, and pushed it off a cliff...

If your friend knew it was his car, couldn't he legally get it back?

Knock him out and push the car off a cliff? Hmmm...

Well he can't get the car back, it would be sold at an auction or so, but he could've pressed charges and got the person prosecuted.

The reason he can't claim it back is because he already filed an insurance claim and bought another car.

He COULD get the car back but then he'd probably have to pay the money back, I could be wrong about all of this.

Plus my friends might get in trouble for beating the shit out of him and they didn't have his information.

Thumbs up

Run that chriopracter bill UP!!!!!!!

You said your neck is hurting (seriously) so keep going to the doc!
I can promise you that if you keep going and you are really hurt, you will come out with at least 5g's!

Happened to me when I was young. I was really hurt and we all kept going to the chriopractor. I got 5k out of the settlement. My younger brother $0 because his bill was not enough from the chriopractor!

I have a couple of things to say, sort of in contrast to each other.

I agree you have a right to be mad. Accidents do happen, but that doesn't mean everything should just be super duper with you. I'd be pissed too, and in fact I'm still mad myself about the thief that messed up my car. When your car is your hobby, it makes it that much worse when someone else messes it up. I don't have any pity for the lady that hit you. Regardless of how wealthy she is, she still probably shouldn't be behind the wheel of a huge vehicle. She needs to drive an Aspire.

On the other hand, please don't (and it seems like you're not interested in doing this anyway) go beyond reason to make her life worse. If you're honestly injured, you should certainly go to the doctor, but bending the truth or seeking more compensation than you really need to be ok is just wrong. That's what raises insurance for everyone, besides the fact that it's really mean-spirited. Like I said, I don't feel like you're headed in this direction, but I just wanted to speak on it.

I've been without my Civic for 4.5 months, and I can't really describe how pissed I am, at the perpetrator of the damage of course, but now also at a couple of shops which are screwing up the work. So I feel your situation. Good luck with it, hope your car comes back right.
