Well I've never looked for a stratus however I don't think cost will be the most major issue for you I think it will be finding high performance parts for a family sedan. My advice to you is to look around on the internet at places that make the kind of parts your looking for and if you find them for your car they will probably have prices with them so just start keeping a list and when you find everything you want add it up. The first place i can think for you to look would probably be mopar and see what you find there. For other ideas on where to look go through sport compact magazines and look for engine part adds and go to thier web sites and look for your parts. And you can go look through some mopar mags esspecially that's about the only place you may see stuff for a stratus. As for the cost without knowing your exact engine and what your looking for determining cost is very difficult.

For a "built" bottom end you need forged or a strong cast crank forged rods forged pistons then the whole assembly needs to be balanced and needs to be installed with high performance bearings and you should prabably have the block drilled for 4 bolt mains. With that set-up you should be able to withstand 500 horses easily however after that you have to realize that no matter how strong you engine your gonna break parts if you run that engine hard. What I have suggested here is an expensive set-up but for all but the most hard core car you can get away with less perhaps if you gave us a horse power and power adder(turbo, nos?)guid lines we can help you determine better what you need.
