Craftsman fiberglas handled post hole shovel. long, narrow, light and strong. Great for digging out around rocks and even works well as a lever to move large rocks. fits pretty snugly inside or against a rack.

Hey, you watch that pooper scooper s#$% now! :-) I spent six years in the military married to one of those "pooper scoopers" and I still carry one in my truck today. Beats the heck out of the ditch diggers! Takes up less space and I don't have to replace my rear bumper or put a massive rack on top to fit it. I just toss it in my gear box and it's out of sight, out of mind until I need it. Came in real handy on July 4th when I had to relocate a wayward jellyfish. It is also handy for putting out fires that other pr#$%& start during fire bans in the forest.
Of course, if you get into a fight in the woods the ditch digger would offer superior fire power...;-) Quote:

E-tool
Warmonger, I spent ten years with an E-tool in my alice pack and still carry it in my essentials box to this day. But I think I am needing a full size shovel, cutting a tree root really sucks with an E-tool! Do you use and X-tower and multimounts to strap it to the rack?

Guages to Shovels
I would love some extra guages, voltage would be nice, tranny temp...etc. I agree they are useless where they are, the A piller would be much better

What..... Rice Boy?????
The A pillar is the only logical place to add guages. Unless your a poser and just want them for show under your air bag.....Is that your X Brent?

Goliath,
I have seen two people add gauges to their truck that look decent and is functional. I put my gauges in a custom-made panel where my little slot used to be in my center console. You can see it at my website. I have a voltmeter that reads both batteries and an air pressure gauge for my on-board air system. Another guy on another board replaced his double din radio with a single din unit and put the gauges in the leftover slot below the radio. The good thing about that was that he could use standard gauges, I couldn't due to the small size of the console area. Unfortunately I don't have a website for him. His photos were posted on the board and are no longer there. But it was definitely a great setup. My setup works good, but his was great. |

The only vehicles that I have ever seen mount gauges on the A-pillar are rice rides. Same goes for those that mount 'em on the cowl in front of the windshield, always on redneck rides.
Of course, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong - Dennis Miller Brent |
