off-white wire w/ connector below passenger compartment?

My Jimmy project is almost done! Just have some miscellaneous stuff to figure out.

There was an unattached off-white wire w/ a connector below the passenger side of the dash. It has some gray foam around the wire too.

Anyone know what this is to and where this hooks up? I haven't been able to figure it out yet.

No one knows what this is?

My current candidates are:

1. Passenger open door switch (currently no lights come on when the passenger door opens up)
2. glove box side light (but since it is a single wire, I wouldnt think it would operate a light)
3. ???

Sounds like the timing wire...(Connects the distributor to the ECM)

When the front passenger door opens on a gen1 1994, are the floor lamps supposed to come on?

The other 3 doors all turn on the floor lamps under the dash, but the front passenger door does not.

Re: off-white wire w/ connector below passenger compartment?

Yes, it's supposed to come on, pull the switch in the door and see if both connectors are on.
