water leaking in the car

I have a 2000 GTP with electronic climate control.

Does anyone have any advice or hints for removing the rear two bolts for the blower control module? I have tried pushing the insulation out of the way and use a swivel socket. I have some nice cuts on my fingers as evidence. Anything I am missing?

My water in the air box was due to the weatherstripping working its self loose and was just sitting in the cowl area when I removed the plastic trim cover. DUring heavy rain I had water leak in.
