Re: 02' envoy will not start

Ok, poncho, my temperature display, in the rear view mirror, constantly reads "OC." I dont know what that means and since I don't have a manual yet, I don't know if it's an error message or something that indicates a necessity to reprogram.

Thanks Poncho (or whoever else has a response)

Re: 02' envoy will not start

OC means Out of Calibration. Most common thing is the temp sensor is either bad or came unplugged.

Did you test at the starter? Did you test at the starter relay? If not, I'd check there first.

Re: 02' envoy will not start

Okay,

Time to dredge this up from the bottom of the heap. Just bought a '02 Envoy 3 months ago. 90 day warantee just ran out. It now sits in the garage. Lights work, security light does not blink at me while attempting to start. Ran test light from purple wire on silenoid and go power when the key is turned. Figuring it's the starter or th PCM. Anyone have any other suggestions? Ran a battery charger on it for an hour, and the AMP meter shows 1 to 2 AMPs on the charger. Battery seems to be fine.

That didn't solve the problem. We then, per Detroit's advice, disconnected everything after market. Even On-Star was disconnected. Finally after 3-months of the service department "not knowing what was wrong", they finally replaced a module for the rear door. So far, it has been starting each time (keeping my fingers crossed). Has anyone else had a similar problem?
Yes I have this same problem this morning when I put in the key and turn it to RUN position it doesn't start but it turns to that position, it wasn't the battery. its got to do something with my ignition switch i believed!!!...please help if u experienced this problem and had it fixed!!!......
