Well, you won't go flying through the windshield if you're in the back seat, so I'd probably leave my belts off (I wouldn't say the same for kids, though). In a rapid deceleration, you just might get stomach cramps and a face-plant on the front seats.

yeah i was wondering why they only made lap belts on these cars in the backseats, i know on some have the complete shoulder belts in the backseats
