Need to know...

I have a 95 Acheiva 2.3 with a blown head gasket and since no one want's to replace it, I was considering swapping the Quad4 for a 2.4 Twin Cam. Some of you will tell me not to waste my time and money on such a task, but the car is like new, it came with 4 new Toyo winter tires and I got it for only 250$ so I don't mind spending some cash to get it going like new too. These cars sell for up to 3000$ when they're clean and running good. To get to the point, I wanted to know if my transmission fits the 2.4 (it's the 3 speed automatic), since the 95 Quad4 was the prelude to the 2.4. I need to know if I need to shop for an engine with wiring and computer or look for a N-body with a smashed rear end at the scrapyard and canibalize the whole drive-train. I don't want to waste my time on another Quad4 unless it's the high-output W41. Thanx!
