4L60E Transmission question

Will a 4L60E transmission out of a 2WD GMC/Chevy work in a 4WD GMC/Chevy? I only ask because I have a 4WD Yukon with a bad transmission and a 2WD Suburban with a 4L60E in it that I can have if it will fit.

I don't know about these but you used to be able to change the tail shaft. Can you not do that anymore?

These transmission do suck these are like the 700's they are delicate, extra clutches to handle the power, If all the plugs are the same it will fit and work but you will need to extend your drive shaft 4wheel drive transmissions are longer, 2wheel are shorter

Re: 4L60E Transmission question

Yes, you can. Go to http://novak-adapt.com/knowledge/4l60e.htm .

It is a site about transmissions for Jeep adaptation, but it has lots of info about the 4L60E (TH 700R).
