Still just "pre-order", not yet "in stock". So we have to wait...

It's a nice kit though.

Think I will buy it when I see it in the store

Re: Audi R8 Kit...from Revell

Hi,

IŽll wait until I see some WIP of the car. Nevertheless I hope it will be better than the (in my eyes) disappointing Revell R10.

Re: Audi R8 Kit...from Revell

Hello,

finally seems to me not as good as I thought it would be...

it seems that body is not wide enough and sits to high on wheels...
I can't explain what exactly but somthing makes the car look "strange" to me...

I really hope it's just me because I really want to build this car, I've seen it several times and have many pictures, even unexpected ones !

Re: Audi R8 Kit...from Revell

The AUDI decals appear to be printed in black, which won't be good for dark colored cars. Revell needs to start using metal transfers.

Actually, it looks like crap in those photos IMHO which is a shame because I was looking forward to this kit but I am turned off by it now

That's what I was thinking. I remember seeing these pics a long time ago when the kit was announced, it's obviously a pre-production model that was built poorly or too quickly. Usually the models built by the mfgs., especially Revell, look pretty lame. It's the usual; see something by Revell that's not Tamiya quality, the message boards light up on fire ready to burn down Revell's headquarters for doing such a horrible job.

Meanwhile, I build and enjoy the entertainment from the firing squad

Seriously, let's see what real builders can do with this model before getting all upset over what may essentially be nothing.

Re: Audi R8 Kit...from Revell

I agree...I love this car and will buy the kit whether or not it is lousy. Modelers can make good things from bad kits

Re: Audi R8 Kit...from Revell

I will surely buy one
The car is just beautiful, if the kit is not up to the level, I hope some work do the trick.
Will it have an engine?
