gettin no poweron 91 caprice 5.0 305

when i stop at a light its fine and when i accelarate it acts slugish and then it cuts off but when i hit the gas harder it comes back to life and when i was coming home i hit the gas contiunusly and nothing so i had to pump it note my car is still on but its getting no gas so i pump it and i could hear it studdering 91 caprice 5.0 305 runaround runaround

if you havent figured this out already, the 305 is a rather anemic engine for the size of the car.
dont expect any smoky burnouts from it especially with lots of miles on it.

what else is going wrong?

oh, and i second blue boweties idea

now it wont start at all and my fuel injectors wont spray at all and its knocked when it did start i was thinking it had somthing to do with the fuel system and the knock sensor i dont want to give up on my car i just changed the fuel pump and filter
