94 gmc 5.7 stalling

hi my 94 gmc 1500 4x4 5.7 is still stalling i am at wits end i have replaced the tps iac map coolant sensors(both cold start and guage) dist cap and rotor, excitor coil in the distributor the module in same plugs wires cleaned the tpi and changed the exhaust flange gaskets the truck will run for 5 to8 minutes then it hunts for an idle then quits and will fire back up right away and works well at over 80 km/h any ideas??????????????

I just had a similar problem with my 88 chevy. I disconected the timing advance wire,(Brown with black stripe), and adjusted the timing and it fixed the whole problem. The Check Engine Soon light came on though but my truck runs a lot better. I adjusted the timing by hear and not to spec also. Good luck

My 94 4.3 was doing the same thing here monday. The humidity was high. Today it ran perfectly with low humidity.

I'm going to check the base gasket for the tbi next.

thanx mr anderson mine does it in any temp from-28 to +32 degrees c its worse in the winter i've tried the iac turn on the key for 30 secs then with the key on unplug the iac then start it it should run ok at 2g plug it in and it stumbles again tomorrow i will clean the iac port and go from there.later jj.

EGR Valve

My EGR valve is completely stuck. I tried it and it won't move at all. I am also going to clean the iac port. I am hoping to get some bad weather down here so I can test it. Wally

I'm wonder if this problem was ever solved I have the same problem and the dealer said they don't know whats wrong with it. HELP
