Looking to buy a '97 Trans Am Ram Air, need advice
I am considering buying a '97 Trans Am Ram Air from an acquaintance and I need some advice. I cannot readily have someone privately inspect the car before I buy it, so I was wondering if it was a good buy. The car is an automatic, V8 5.7 liter, and has 106,100 miles on it. What im curious about is if the engines on '97 Firebirds are built well enough to last another... 50-75,000 miles without major renovation needed. It has no history of accidents or damages.
Thanks |

Re: Looking to buy a '97 Trans Am Ram Air, need advice
Depends on how hard its been beaten on. I've heard of LT1's going into the mid 200K+ range. With proper maintanance, should be fine. Just be aware, as with any car, mileage that high can cause a lot of wear-and-tear, so be prepared for things to wear out.
