Road Runner, Camaro and Charger

So the Charger is my baby sort of. It's my creation. The Road Runner and Camaro are sort of studies of bad ass cars found in PHR. I changed the color of the RR. Adobe Illustrator 9.0

Awesome. You have good taste in cars, they're not overdone, but they're not too traditional. I love them, keep up the good work. I'm not familiar with Illustrator, did you draw them or just repaint them?

Re: Road Runner, Camaro and Charger

With Illustrator you basically draw shapes (this is where the term vector comes in) then you fill the shapes with color or gradients. Illustrator can do a lot more than that, especially with newer versions but I generally stick with more traditional methods. Here's a link to show you my shapes http://www.odellstudios.com/pics/outline.jpg on the camaro. Without a larger picture to really get close you can't see the complexity of the hood but this'll give you the idea. Of course there are lots of methods people use to accomplish the same thing as with any medium but it pretty much boils down to the pen tool. There is a brush tool but nothing about Illustrator is like PS as far as using the tools go.
