The Bose system is notorious for going bad. You could try the fuse, disconnecting the battery overnight, etc. Mine in my 94 J30t stopped a year or so ago and had a place pull it out. It was a bad soder. If you are experienced then go ahead and pull out out an check it out. If not leave it to the experts...unfortunately not much choice!

My Bose audio system crapped out a while back too... needless to say the Dealership fixed it for about 200 bucks. Went without music for a couple weeks. The speakers have custom amps or something like that, so buying a new head unit required replacing all speakers!!!

You might want to watch eBay also, if you can determine which component is bad. Many times I have seen whole or part of J30 audio systems for sale.

I had this problem with my old J-30 and it cost me about $125 to get fixed. Luckily I have a local stereo guy that is real cool and found a guy in California that could rebuild the unit for a flat fee of $75+S&H. I wish I still had those records, I would have been able to give you his information.

Re: need help audio system failed
This may help some of you I had the same problem with Bose system. Bose only manufactures the speakers Clarion makes the unit itself. I bought a Bose 6 disc changer that was in a 2004 350zx for 150.00 bucks off Ebay-just a few inexpensive adapter switches and you would have thought you driving in a brand new Infinity again. It required a little work but was well worth it fits back like the old one did-Good Luck
