I still doing something like a Sick Fish on rear. So I add 2 stirene 1mm tube piece and after cement cured I sanded the wing.



I scribed trunk lines



And i joint all with tamiya epoxi putty.



I don´t sand nothing yet....

I did scratch build rear suspension... Now I have a Four-link sistem!!!!

1st I did a pre assembly



I did cuts on floor.



And i did suports w/ stirene sheet.



Assembly



Inside floor adaptions



Bars made from 1,0mm wire and 2,0mm stirene tube



After that I did other pre assembly. I did both holes for shockers.



inside floors I add 1,5mm wire.



And finished with stirene



Another pre assembly...



Clean out old suspension sistem.



And finished...

don't forget to install your panhard bar. without it, your rear end will move side to side (in real life). you seem to be one for an extreme attention to detail, so I just thought I'd add that little bit in case you forgot.

excellent build though. if it turns out half as nice as your Maverick, it will be a real show stopper for sure!

there are a few ways to go about it, really. 2 ways are a triangulated 4 link (the other way in the image), and the afore mentioned panhard bar (mostly used on hot rods and trucks). you would use a spherical bearing, or large rubber bushing in real life at the ends of the panhard bar or triangulated 4 link bars. Nascar uses panhard bars. usually a panhard bar would be used on a suspension with longer radius arms (4 link bars) and the type you are building would usually have some sort of triangulation, but some setups with shorter radius arms do use panhard bars. you can actually connect the panhard bar to the diff housing, or anywhere on the frame, so long as the suspension travel doesn't cause the panhard bar to swing the rear end to one side under heavy load, or when the suspension becomes decompressed.
