Revell 98 Dodge Viper help plz
Hi guys i started this model a long time ago, and i have recently stripped it and some body mods have broken. As some of you know revell doesnt make a 98 viper, but i am making my own conversion of a 93 rt/10 to a 98 rt/10. Mods include rear exaust, filled in side exaust, and of course the GTS hood with RT/10 side emblems. I had to cut off the sides of the hood to a rt/10 kit and transfer them to a GTS hood. It was a big pain, but i finally started to make strides. However after a bad paint job, i stripped it and im guessing the stripper weakend the hood to much. My question is what is the strongest glue that dries hard, i mean hard, and is immune to most strippers??
here are some pics ![]() And heres a picture of what i have done so far if your interested. I know the pictures are blurry and i apologize. And im sry if the pics seem large, but it was the smallest i could resize them to. As you can see in the 2nd pic there are the sides to the hood. This was a bad pic, but you can see the opening i made for the rear opening.

Re: Revell 98 Dodge Viper help plz
I would guess that super glue would hold up to most strippers.

Re: Revell 98 Dodge Viper help plz
What you want is not a glue at all, but a liquid cement like either Tenax 7R or Ambroid Pro Weld. These are chemical welding agents that melt the plastic together at the joint (where it can be sanded smooth) instead of adhesives.
Believe me, a good liquid cement will change the way you build models 100%.

Re: Revell 98 Dodge Viper help plz
One of the gel type super glues would take care of that...
I keep both the 'regular' thin stuff and gel on my bench along with a bottle of accelerator.
