Please, they made fun of Muslims. It's not the big deal you make it out to be. I have a Mad Magazine where they make fun of Girls Gone Wild and call it Muslims Gone Wild and slam the Muslims that got mad over the Dutch cartoons. Are the editors and writers of Mad Magazine dicks now?

Funny though that you call them dickheads. Did you know Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of South Park, were in college and made their first video like these kids? What would of happened if they had to pull the plug and apologize, stopping South Park from ever being created?

Now how do we know these kids weren't the next Trey Parker or Seth Macfarlane? We'll never know now will we?

Oh please. As stated above I watch South Park and stuff where my religious and political views are constantly attacked but you never hear me bitching or moaning now do you? I don't think they were making fun of anyone.
the way I see it, they kidnapped the mascot and needed to make a ranson video and they chose, as it was the most recent "image" of a ransom video in the public consciousness, the style and appearance of those videos.

I'm not entirely sure where you people are getting that it was deliberately targetting or insulting the islamic community (or whatever the accusations being made here are).
It does seem to me that the claim about it being a parady inspired by Team America doesn't stand and reeks of kids making an excuse for doing something they shouldn't have done, at least not in the way that they did. I mean, for a start, the film is taken as a whole to get the entire parady of the situation. To take a single element out and disect it independently of the rest of the film would result in failure to understand why/how you can get away with certain things and the meaning of the film as a whole.
To simply take hostage an inanimate object and recreate the kidnapping videos does not make a parady.
What you have here is a "but they did it first" thing.

Anyway, people are mad but that's because it's from college students we don't know on a risky subject. What I want to know is would it all of a sudden be funny if we saw it on Family Guy or South Park?
