Eat beforehand.

Airport food is expensive. Airline food is shit.

*edit* Nevermind, just realised he's already long gone.

drink on the plane, because of the pressure and air and all that, one drink in the air is equal to three on the ground.

How do you figure that?

The pressure inside the cabin is the same as at sea level.

Re: what do i do when i get to the airport

maybe. i'm just going by what i've read. i assumed it was the air or cabin pressure or something. it just said that one in the air is equal to three on the ground.

Re: what do i do when i get to the airport

hey guys. airport sucked. colorado's great though, it kicks ass. some of the most amazing scenery i've ever seen, and all that jazz. but yeah the airport sucked, it was confusing and gay. denver airport was F*cking insanely confusing. theres a damn train IN the airport... anyways... yeah i was pissed about the lighter thing, but i already figured that one out. they made me take all my shit out of my laptop case and put the computer by itself in a bin; i had like 5 bins of shit rolling down the stupid conveyor belt. anyways this is way of topic so im out

Correct Nicole.

The pressurization system pumps air into the cabin, and there is a relief valve, or controlled leak, on the opposite end that regulates the pressure. Since there are virtually no medical effects up to 8000 feet, that's what the airlines run as "cabin pressure" at higher altitudes. They don't run a higher pressure (and thus a lower altitude) as it's safer and cheaper not to do so.

Since there is less O2 in the air, it basically increases the ratio of alcohol in your bloodstream, so at altitude drinks are more effective. But the buzz goes away when you come back down. 3:1 might be a little high, but hey it's all good.
