nieve owner of a 240sx

240sx owner says:
wikipedia is known to be false....

the reason the stealth sold none is becuase its ass ugly and not a performer unless heavy work is done. Heavy pos. Oh and its a knock-off car to begin with.

the 240 will be saught after because it has a background as a z car(in a way like old datsuns, even though its not labeled as zx) and is used in a popular motor sport....drifting.......

The dodge is wanted and known for..........nothing.

i said:
i would agree the stealth is a lot more difficult to work on, but chuki, u must own a 240 in order to stick up for that car, a stock 240 would stand no chance against my stock 1992 dodge stealth r/t twin turbo. anybody with a brain could figure that out and the stealth is a heavy car i would agree but guess wat the gtr is just as heavy as is the 300zx. and with awd it doesnt really lose traction. also i dont see old magazines saying the 240 is a ferrari for a forth the price. the stealth is loved by a lot of people, y dnt u take a look at its forum. i fact more people prefer the stealths first gen looks over the first gen 3000gt looks.
my car puts out 300hp and 305tq to the ground. ur little 4 banger puts out 155hp, with like wat 140tq.
yes the 240 is a car usede in drifting, so is the evo, the wrx, and the gto, so wats ur point? the only reason the stealth isnt used in drifting is because if u take the transfer case off to make a 2wd car, it'll be fwd, tho possible to drift a fwd car, it is much easier with rwd. i'm not saying the 240sx is not a respectable car, but as far as collectability goes, rareness helps alot. and if u think my car didnt sell because of looks, consider this the toyota supra sold even fewer, and that is a decent looking car, and it'll beat a 240 in a drift if set up right.
if u live anywhere near northwest jersey, i challenge u and ur car to a street drag, or a street circut, if u dnt have the balls, or u dnt think ur car does, than u and ur car gets a bad rap. if u live nowhere near jersey, than mutual respect.

I know some people with great launches and shifting can pull about a 4.8 0-60.

If you want to talk shit the right way you might want to tell both sides of the story.

As a DSM owner, and someone who loves cars, no matter the brand, you're a fucking idiot. Period.

Re: nieve owner of a 240sx

well I'd just like to clear something up here with that guys post. As much potential as the 240sx has (when turbo'd) it isn't really all that great stock (handeling is nice, and power isn't too great... keep in mind it's a 4 cyl though)... basically it's a 4cyl z31. They share ALOT of similar body lines, and interchangeable parts (the 240 got some nice goodies, but the z31 had a few more). In the end though I disagree in saying that the car has a background as a z car: it really doesn't share the same heritage, and changes like the z. EDIT: I read that guy chuki's post, and I'd totally forgotten about the 180/200sx, etc... and they do have alot of history, but I still don't think it's quite the same as the z's... I'm probly just biased though.

Ohh and to the DSM owner who posted above me, yeah I agree that he's kinda flip floping (now that I've read his other thread) but in the thread, a 240 member said this

"wikipedia is known to be false....

the reason the stealth sold none is becuase its ass ugly and not a performer unless heavy work is done. Heavy pos. Oh and its a knock-off car to begin with.

the 240 will be saught after because it has a background as a z car(in a way like old datsuns, even though its not labeled as zx) and is used in a popular motor sport....drifting.......

Maybe the guy just wants another perspective, I wouldn't be too harsh on him, it seems like he's just defending his car. I mean, wouldn't you do the same...? In the end I think both are great cars, but if you're going to use a 240sx for daily driving (like he said in the 240 forums) and a stealth for racing, than that might be your answer right there. I really just don't think it's right to compare the two in stock trim.

Re: nieve owner of a 240sx

Yea I understand, I wasn't taking any sides, I just thought it was bullshit to start a thread such as this, calling someone "naive", when that other thread alone is enough evidence to see that someone's a huge hypocrit.

Being a DSM lover, I definitely have my respects for 3kgt's and so on, and I love S-Chassis cars for many other reasons too, having alot of friends that own some. I just thought it was total crap for him to try to belittle a certain car in an obviously biased forum. Then run back here saying "eeheehee look how stoopid they are" when he clearly showed how naive/ignorant he is. I thought it was totally uncalled for.

I'm not trying to start shit or whatever, just thought the whole story should be known because just as sure as I know it is here, there might be some assholes, but they know their shit. Especially Chuki, he knows his car. Hopefully, bygons (sp?) can be bygons, I just hate when people tattle tell a one sided story.

Re: nieve owner of a 240sx

Yeah, of course there is going to be a bias on each side of the forum. I saw the other thread and yes it does clear some things up but there is also an incredible amount of bashing. This is why I like 3/S forums because most of the people aren't kids who make those posts that make you ask youself is this generation really going to uphold the world one day. So, as usual I will nost post in that thread as I will let the kids stay in their own turmoil. Quite frankly, I think it should just be dropped and forgotten.

Re: nieve owner of a 240sx

i have dropped the other thread, all i wanted to know is if its a good car to drive, mpg, stuff like that. i respect the car, it came a long way from glass hatch, to a damn nice looking sports coupe, that was an alteranive in a time wen cars were eco or pure sports.
the power of the 240sx is great, i dnt even think theres another car in its class, though, wat does the eclipse fall into? i am a kid, i'm 19.
i dnt wanna have the stealth as a track car, just a "sunday driver", and i'm a lil sick of my pos neon.
as for wen i started this post, back in like dec. i just found it amusing, and since then i havent said nething as to wat was going on. as for nieve, i couldnt think of another word.
also i'm not the one who started belittling the 240, i just wanted some opions on wat the 240's linke, from people that most likely own them, or have owned them.

Ok, didn't know this was on AF...thought this was some coworker of yours you were arguing with something. Threads like these are not permitted. Don't make another one.

Secondly, keep it civil. There are user guidelines that you agreed to when you joined. They were quite specific on flaming of other members. I don't care who started it, both threads are now closed. Everybody has been warned...end of story.
