lots of question, i mean lots(240sx)

1) is it possible to find 240's for sale in stock condition?
2) is it a good car to have a secondary car, like daily driver?(i have a stealth tt, and it's a future collector, i want something else)
3) wat was the last year?
4) i like the skyline type lights, front, wat were the yrs of those on the 240?
5) i also love skylines, would the rb26dett eng fit, along with making it awd, and the getrag 6spd?
6) wats up with those rear lights?
7) idk, i'll think of more at some point

Re: lots of question, i mean lots(240sx)

Correction on the year, S14's lasted from 95-98 in the USA. I dont understand what you ment by the skyline lights question but the S14 Zenkie's (95,96) Lights looked close to the R33 Skyline's; if thats what you ment.

Alot of people find it annoying when you ask questions without researching. I don't mind anwsering them though. You can swap a 95-96 tail light for 97-98 or vice versa. Feel free to drop me an email @ [email protected] anytime for any questions you have. I'll usually repsond pretty snappily and wont flame you for asking a dumb question.
Also, would like to invite you somewhere.

Re: lots of question, i mean lots(240sx)

sorry that was wrong. heres serious answers.
1. is it possible to find a stealth TT in stock condition? yes, like every car.
2. not the best, but since the 240 will be as much a future collecters car, probably more than the stealth, i wouldnt do it.
3. 1998
4. im also assuming you mean the 95-96 zenki lights. if not, you suck.
5. yes, but if your trying to save your stealth, why do you think this would make sense to do to a daily driver? lots of time and more money.
6. i dont know what you mean by this question...
7. why not just search? its not hard to find information without resorting to getting flamed for being an idiot.

Re: lots of question, i mean lots(240sx)

answers to
5) cause it would give me something to do
2) considering there more than 25,000 240's made in 1995 and only 200 something stealth tt in 95, i think the stealth is going to be sought after, also it's a lot harder to find a 240 without more than 100k on it
1) my stealth is stock, but a lot more ppl will screw around with a 240 then they would a stealth
and that web page was great for all of 2 seconds

i also did some research on wikipedia, i forgot about that site

Re: lots of question, i mean lots(240sx)

wikipedia is known to be false....

the reason the stealth sold none is becuase its ass ugly and not a performer unless heavy work is done. Heavy pos. Oh and its a knock-off car to begin with.

the 240 will be saught after because it has a background as a z car(in a way like old datsuns, even though its not labeled as zx) and is used in a popular motor sport....drifting.......

The dodge is wanted and known for..........nothing.

Re: lots of question, i mean lots(240sx)

its not a 'knock off' since its still a genuine mitsu car. And i wouldnt be comparing a stealth to a 240, way different cars in totally different categorys. But the 6G72 is a bitch to work on and the transaxle is know to be unreliable in the earlier 3000gt/stealth.

and a 240sx would be a much more reliable DD.

Re: lots of question, i mean lots(240sx)

i would agree the stealth is a lot more difficult to work on, but chuki, u must own a 240 in order to stick up for that car, a stock 240 would stand no chance against my stock 1992 dodge stealth r/t twin turbo. anybody with a brain could figure that out and the stealth is a heavy car i would agree but guess wat the gtr is just as heavy as is the 300zx. and with awd it doesnt really lose traction. also i dont see old magazines saying the 240 is a ferrari for a forth the price. the stealth is loved by a lot of people, y dnt u take a look at its forum. i fact more people prefer the stealths first gen looks over the first gen 3000gt looks.
my car puts out 300hp and 305tq to the ground. ur little 4 banger puts out 155hp, with like wat 140tq.
yes the 240 is a car usede in drifting, so is the evo, the wrx, and the gto, so wats ur point? the only reason the stealth isnt used in drifting is because if u take the transfer case off to make a 2wd car, it'll be fwd, tho possible to drift a fwd car, it is much easier with rwd. i'm not saying the 240sx is not a respectable car, but as far as collectability goes, rareness helps alot. and if u think my car didnt sell because of looks, consider this the toyota supra sold even fewer, and that is a decent looking car, and it'll beat a 240 in a drift if set up right.
if u live anywhere near northwest jersey, i challenge u and ur car to a street drag, or a street circut, if u dnt have the balls, or u dnt think ur car does, than u and ur car gets a bad rap. if u live nowhere near jersey, than mutual respect.

Re: lots of question, i mean lots(240sx)

o and it's not a knock-off, its wat happens wen two good car companies come together and make one badass car, that is shared between the two
like the talon and eclipse, ford and volvo(tho its not working for those two), saleen and ford, panoz and ford, wow ford works with a lot of companies, cadallac and chevy. and thats the only ones i can think of. people didnt want the 240sx for its looks only, they took it because it was reliable, and i've seen stealths with well over 200k on em. the 240sx is a decent car, it's easy to find parts, upgrade, and the engine is tough along with the rear end.
there were well over 200,000 240sx made between 89 and 98, the stealth didnt even break niether the 3000gt, niether hit 100,000, in all versions of each added together.

Re: lots of question, i mean lots(240sx)

i am a mitsu owner, and ill just say this, STFU. There are so many drawbacks to the stealth/3000gt and 6G72 motor setup i dont even want to talk about it. And yours must be modded if its putting 300/305 to the wheels because a 92' is only rated at 300bhp which would be like 250-260whp in that car. Stealths are cool, but the 240sx has many advantages over the stealth as the stealth does over the 240 *in stock form*. take the cost of a stealth and build a KA-t. You wouldnt be running your mouth so much. Your on a 240sx forum, dont try and preach a tri star car to us. maybe on starquestclub.com but not a nissan forum.!

thanks, and welcome!
