Re: FUJIMI Mitsubishi Starion-PROGRESS

That's old-school ex-motorized kits for you... Looks like you got it handled, though.

How did the case of the moving beltline come out? Looks just fine in the pictures....

Moving "beltline?" I'm not sure I'm following that. Maybe something to do with the motorized part of the kit? I pretty much just built this like any of the old Fujimi kits with the same style chassis...pretty much ignore the majority of the instructions LOL Anyways, the instructions don't really mention anything about installing the extra parts to make it motorized. All that is really installed on the rear side is the flat part with the two upright brackets that hold the rear metal bar for the rear wheels in place. That's about it.

Re: FUJIMI Mitsubishi Starion-PROGRESS

Quick update. I had a chance to briefly save the interior but realized that it may actually be easier (and hopefully a little better) to just fabricate the interior from scratch. By making each piece individually, I should be able to make the rear interior look a whole lot better than the stock pieces that were supplied. This is what I did so far:

Then after studying it and trying to figure out how I can make the interior look better, I decided to start from scratch so I went out and bought this:

I started with the lower half of the rear seat:

And just a little bit of putty work to finish it off:

EDIT: Added this pic-

That's it for now. I should start the fabrication work on the top half of the rear seat soon and finish out with the left/right interior panels.

Re: FUJIMI Mitsubishi Starion-PROGRESS

Got to work on the upper half of the rear seat last night. I didn't take process pics like I did for the lower half since it was built the same way:

Hopefully, I'll have both pieces cleaned up tonight and start on the side panels really soon.
