No, its completely the opposite. If you buy a VW, you want a German built one.

Re: 07 Civic Vs 07 Rabbit

Car and Driver just compared a bunch of inexpensive small cars. The wabbit won, Civic LS in 3rd.

Re: 07 Civic Vs 07 Rabbit

The Sentra looks a little bit better, but it got murdered in this comparison. They sited a bad clutch, bad suspension, and bad gauges. It also had the worst 0-60 and 1/4 mile in the group. It scored a measley 151 against VW's 205 points. The score of 151 is ironic because thats what it seems their engineers were drinking while they designed this car. Nissan should be ashamed that it has the newest car in the class, and it did the worst.

C&D has been showing alot of love towards VW recently. The GTi won against the Civic Si earlier, and now the Wabbit won. Good job VW.

Yeah, give those VW's a couple years to start falling apart before praising it too much.

Re: 07 Civic Vs 07 Rabbit

Yes, my VW drove well, for a front wheel drive, but the quality! And the cost of repairs!
Nope, hopefully that was the last VW I own.

Re: 07 Civic Vs 07 Rabbit

Just because the MkIII and MkIV VWs that America got were fairly unreliable doesn't mean that the MkVs will be. Its still too early to tell.

See I still fail to see what people complain about, maybe it's my lack of ownership experience with the US market Mexican ones, but the VW's I've owned and driven have often been better put together than most Nissans, Toyotas and (Especially at high milages) Hondas.
