Re: coilover spring installation

My first drop was 1.7 front and 2.3 rear. I was getting shudders in the drive train while excelerating. Over time that drop shot my CV axels. Which is why i went to the prokit. Not as slammed, and its more of a performance mod than a look mod. Optimal lowering is when the control arms are parralel to the ground. Which happens to be in our cars 1.5" of a drop. Eibach states it drops the car 1.4"s.

Nooo. If you feel like blowing out your suspension, then go right ahead, but the stock struts were designed for comfort and for the springs they came with. You have to remember that the cavalier is not a sport compact racer. Its an economy car.

Re: coilover spring installation

Haha dont encourage him, im tring to save someones life here. ;D But really, if you feel the need to put them on stocks, then go ahead. BUT! Do not come back crying when it goes out. And just for the records im not telling you to do this or advising it. (Some people can get crazy with a lawyer)

You also have to remember that he has bigger rims on his car in his "after" pics.
