Re: sound deadning
good compressors are pretty expensive, im glad my uncle has one. The funny thing is i havent used air tools on this project hardly at all. Most the sanding is done by hand with a block. Only time i use a air tools is just to knock down bondo quickly to get to be able to use a hand block. Like if theres a good amount of bondo to get through ill use an inline or a da to knock most of it out in less time, then move to hand. All suspension and everything else was put on by hand. Actually your supposed to put that type stuff on by hand with a torque wrench, i just get everything as tight as i possibly can. Now taking shit off yea that would be alot faster to use a air ratchet or impact. Which my unlce leaves at work lol, so i use hand tools. Its not really that much of a hassle. There is one time i used an electric impact that was my great grandpas lol. We couldnt get the hub nut off for shit. We looked up on the wall (my uncle has a bunch of antique tools hanging in the garage), and were like i wonder if that thing still works. This thing looks like the original damn impact. We plugged it in and yea.....it worked great. Thank god. Great grandpa(deceased about 10 years ago) helped in this project too. I wonder what year that thing was made in.
Although an air hammer is really strong. Has a chissel looking attachment and goes back and forth really fast. Sounds like a damn uzi. We usually use that to cut off pieces of metal etc. I wouldnt use one of those. Those can easily go through the floor board lol.
