Re: Welded or LSD?

it depends do you complain about a uncomfortable ride?
which kind of lsd arer you looking it if you decide to get lsd?
about the welds breaking sure that can happen if you get shitty welds. there are a few places on line that will do welded and it isnt expensive and they are reputable i cant think of the place i have in mind off hand

Re: Welded or LSD?

well i only got to drive on my vlsd once lol. After the install i had to drive it back.....ever since then iv had no brakes on the car so i havent driven it in a while. But anyways, i did drop the clutch a few times on the ride home to see how it felt. It hooked good for me. Could definantly tell a change in traction right off the bat. It fishtailed the rear from side to side but thats because i have no alignment because i put on full multilink suspension that same day. Basically i was driving straight and tires were still screeching lol(thats how bad the alignment is). But i got my vlsd out of an automatic 240 that used to be my moms. So its probably in very good condition for its age and as far as being abused. Its not like she went out racing and doing burnouts and stuff. But yea it hooked good, and its a lot louder with 2 tires screeching. I could tell it was working more so by the sound of me taking off and the feel of the car with it. It was fun for the 10 minutes i drove it.

Re: Welded or LSD?

hmmm. this has been driving me insane for a while. i would love an lsd but the money tree isnt growing too good lately... so that leaves me with vlsd or welded... since it is still daily driven i think im gonna go vlsd. also if i cant find one out of a 240 will the Z31 rear work?
