Not my deffinition, your deffinition. I never said thats what I wanted, I dont want a stripped down car. If I wanted a lightwieght, cheep, AWD car that was easy to mod I deffinatly wouldnt have picked a 3S. the obvious choice is the DSM.

Re: 3.5l stealth/vr-4

ok, so then rule out muscle cars, btw, shelby gt350, were sports not muscle cars, they were designed to race, good handling for the time, also rule out any eco cars ie: neons, cobalt, except ss, basicly something that cost more than 25g brand new, cause face it the miata base model isn't built for speed, driven one personally, i don't think it's great, has a strong engine tho. and by me saying no interior i mean no leather, just cloth, make the car as light as possible, no radio, manual seats not power, no power steering, no convt versions, motor adds wieght, i'd say aim for the best power to weight ratio.

Re: 3.5l stealth/vr-4

No one would buy a car like that, and almost no one would drive a car like that anywhere but a race track. So there is no reason for a company to make anything like that.

What you want is a kit car, I would sugest this.
http://www.factoryfive.com/table/ffr...TM/GTMkit.html

weighs in around 2300 lbs and takes a GM LS series motor.

Re: 3.5l stealth/vr-4

i'm not saying the porsche is my ideal sports car, i'd take something like a 355, light, agile, and quike. but i'm very happy with my stealth, yea it's a heavy car, but i dont care, if i'm going to spend 10g or so on a sports car, i'll be happy with what i get. the most ideal sports car i could name from history would be a ferrari 330, it's light and quike, it can still beat lap times of a 911 gt3 around laguna seca. and if no one would buy that car, then y is mosler in business, the owners motto is weight is the enemy, i believe that's the same as mclaren had, people will buy it, it just wouldn't be used for everyday driving. the solstice has no a/c or heat, no radio, look it up, those are all options on it, thats y its cheaper than the sky, the solstice mighht grab a different group of people, never say no one will buy that, it wouldn't exist if no one would buy it, it's logic, it would end up as a loss of profit to the company

Im sure those are options, but I bet its harder to get it without those options than with them.

^ love the looks of that car. I was reading good things about the sky in Road & Track. Something about awesome handling, near 50/50 weight distribution....

Re: 3.5l stealth/vr-4

Meh sorry but that car looks like somthing a woman/gay guy would own, I can't even beleive that we the people who own 3/S would even consider that thing, and FYI, for that kind of money US I would be looking at moding a EVO which will then kill that car, stab it right in the hart in fact.......................

Re: 3.5l stealth/vr-4

Is there a better way of conveying I'm f-ing sick of people using the term 'gay' to refer to something they don't like. I thought I'd made it abundantly clear. I thought the average member had the basic reading comprehension skills necessary to derive the notion that I would prefer people to exercise their vocabulary and find a better-suited adjective to describe their dislike for a piece of engineering they don't particularly care for.

That being said, I'm pretty sure the topic of putting a 3.5L engine into a 3S has been covered about as many times as ESPN has mentioned Barry Bonds allegedly take 'roids. So, as this thread has lead to absolutely nothing but a waste of time, I'm closing it.

Yogs or Young, please feel free to reopen it if you feel differently.
