Buddy, I wasn't being a "smarta$$" I was just making the point that it might be good in future to read the entire thread to get an idea of what has already been discussed. It was just constructive criticism meant to help out a relative newcomer. Calm down and don't take offence

I've had the same problem with exshowroom too. Crap packaging, fails to deliver and buys time. Cheap models though.

The key is to order ONE model at a time and if it hasn't arrived in 30 days, file with PayPal immediately. He refunds every cent real quick.

Re: How to fix smashed roof

I've not had any problems with exshowroom, he was pleasant and delivery is usually pretty quick (less than a week, HK to UK). Best thing though is his shipping is a flat rate charge, and is much more reasonable than other HK based sellers on ebay. A lot will charge 10p for the kit then £20 for shipping, his all seems a lot more genuine.

I appreciate this seems like an advert for the guy, but he was taking a lot of flak so I thought I'd speak up. Until they start shipping these things in lead cases I guess damage is inevitable. I got a squished mercedes through the post the other day from somewhere in the UK.

Re: How to fix smashed roof

Yeah but seeing as the exshowroom gets alot of negative for smashed models you would think he would atleast try and fix that. I wouldn't be complaining if I got it and it was in a seperate box but it still got smashed due to the post office. Thats not the case here, exshowroom only wraped the model box with paper to send it air to the states. Plus I paid his highest priced shipping to make sure my model got to me safe.

I know it's partialy my fault since I should have read his feedback. I only bought from him because he was the only one selling the JDM DC2 and I really wanted it. If I could have found it here in the states on ebay or in my LHS I would have bought it that way.

Re: How to fix smashed roof

Let's be honest any negative feedback isn't good.If I was sending out model kits I'd make damn sure they were well packed and arrived safely so that the buyer would order from me again. It simply is no good to send out some kits and not others or have them arrive broken. In my opinion it doesn't matter how many good transactions he has to his name. One bad one is one too many.If you are paying good money for postage and packing it's not on to rip people off and wrap the kits in a bit of lousy paper.Anyone who sells models would know that they could get crushed in the post.I'll certainly be steering clear of him in the future. He's ripped me off already for £15 and it won't happen again.I've had loads of models and bits and bobs from Hobbylink and Mediamix Hobby and I've never had anything broken yet.Reason is they are packed properly in proper boxes.

Sorry Si, but I disagree, this guy has been nothing but hassle to me, 2 months down the line and no model

Here's my sorry tale on the guy. He is now claiming he couldn't contact me, yet I have received 2 emails from him this week in my Hotmail account. I now don't trust him as a far as I can throw him - he is the only person I given negative feedback to, and received

Re: How to fix smashed roof

It's a shame people have had bad experiences with this guy. I just had a rummage through his feedback and those who leave negative ones are really obviously upset.

I was going to order a bulk lot of a few kits from him in the near future, might play it safe and do one at a time to see how it goes..

Cheers.
