How to fix smashed roof

I just got my JDM DC2 Integra today that I bought from Hong Kong. The problem is that the guy didn't package it really well and the roof ended up getting smashed. Can anyone tell me an easy way to fix it. It didn't crack, the plastic is just smashed at the window area.

Can you post a picture of the damage? You will get better advice if people can see the damage it will be easier to advise what to do to fix it.

I pushed up on the roof to fix it a little. It was worse then that. I also noticed that the right center pillar is not boken off.

Re: How to fix smashed roof

That looks like a tricky one to resolve.I had a similar one some time ago with a Hasegawa Subaru Legacy though it was not as bad as yours.I fixed it by pushing it back into place and using some very thin plastic card to brace it from the inside, secured with liquid cement.Maybe some of the other guys can help you out with some suggestions as well.I hope it is not the same guy from Hong Kong who I have had recent dealings with on E Bay.I never even received the model I bought from him.But if it had arrived in the condition yours has then maybe it would have been a waste of time anyway.I hope you can fix yours though, best of luck with it.

Re: How to fix smashed roof

It was from Ebay and the guys name was exshowroom. Don't deal with that guy if you are thinking of buying a model off ebay. Four emails with no replies. I paid $35 for this model and this is what I got. Would have perfered never to recieve it and get my money back from paypal.

As I expected.I ordered the 1/24th Hasegawa Lancia Stratos from exshowroom via E Bay and I have never received it (over 8 weeks now) All he has done is mess me about and never replies to E Mails etc.I am trying to gey a refund from Pay Pal as we speak. So sorry you had to get ripped off by him as well.Best Regards.

I agree, use thin sheets of plastic on the pillars so they don't interfere with the windows. I hate how the pillars are so weak on those, i have recieved two like that. Good luck

Re: How to fix smashed roof

Just curious, but have you tried contacting where you purchased it from describing the problem? Possibly you could get another kit?

Mate, if you actually read what countsid wrote - that is, he bought it off Ebay and has tried to contact the seller to no avail - you will answer your own question.

Cyclone1410: Well mate, "EXCUSE ME!". Never fails when I go to a board that there always needs to be smart A#$ replies and rude people. So I missed the ebay part, no big deal. I see the original poster put a reply and he or she had no problem with my post so why should you?

Re: How to fix smashed roof

I had same problems (with the pillars and exshowroom) Amazing is the car I had this problem was with exshowroom!

For the pillar, I sink the part in hot water (don't leave it alone!) for a moment. Then I took it out, re-bend it and drop into cold water... I ended with something less destroyed than it was...

For exshowroom, I order from him last year and I never get my kits... I send an e-mail to the Hong Kong Police Departement and send him a copy of the e-mail. By this miracle, he contact me and said he was sorry blablabla and send me 2 other kits... You should see the boxes when they came to me: a Skyline's roof split in half and a 180 bended in your position... I resend him an email for replacing the parts and STILL WAITING FOR THOSES PARTS!

If you want to know better about exshowroom, do a search in this forum about "scams on ebay": you'll find a thread about him

Good luck with your DC2!
