I'm a little surprised he said that. Yes the RX-8 it faster but not by substantial amounts by any means. I recall Cassie'sMan beat an auto RX-8 with his 325i. If that is the case a n/a 3000gt MTX should be able to take RX-8 auto. Either way, get some races in.

mine isnt auto, and there is a huge performance difference in them, the manual has a new sport suspension set up while the auto doesnt and to get it you have to pay almost an extra 2k and people have already tested the manual against the auto and the difference is almost 5 cars, which that is very easy to see considering the auto does a 1/4 almost a full second slower than the manual. And i'm not getting races till my 1st oil change so I can get off the dealer crap and put some good oil in there.

I agree, the auto RX-8 is friggin slow...about as fast as my car, lol.

The manual is much nicer, which is what he has and hence quite a bit faster.

and there is my point, if I beat musashi's 3kgt when my jetta was stock and musashi has his modded and the RX-8 is definately faster than the jetta when it was stock (which is just lowered boost) then a stock N/A 3kgt would be pretty easy.

best launch i can do in my car is a 7000rpm clutch dump
that is to me the only way i'm gonna get the best times
i could do a 4000rpm and slip the clutch a bit, but its still not the real deal

i can use it, but not to its full extent because i choose not to, for the reason of my tranny. my car working and bieng able to drive it from point a to point b is the more important thing for me right now, since this is my only means of transportation

manuals come with 18's and autos come with 16's that one way to tell, although if you pay 2 grand on an auto you get the 18's which slow it down even more. The 18's on my car is for traction purposes which I can still lose it easily and have already fished the car in the parking at my office. And yeah he knew cause he saw me shifting before we got the the light.
