I have not seen any impact from the Alaska oil line issue in my area. The prices did not skyrocket and as usual the media blew it out of proportion. I noticed this weekend prices dropped a few pennies.

Ya bob, I remember them talking about that oil in the sand up in Canada. IT was headlines for a few weeks and them they just quit talking about it. I guess from what I've read its a big PITA to extract the oil from the sand. Still it is all dinofuel, maybe its time we staart thinking about alternative fuels
I used to use this gas that was 10% ethanol in my 89 GA, it ran great, got really good mpg and everything. Though, thier was some draw backs. That fuel dried out the "O" rings on the injectors, and it kept spraying gas onto the intake....
.Well, I dont hav to tell you what happened next

fire fire fire ! Good thing I had an extinguisher
Ya prices jumped up last weekend, I think the Allstate400 in Indy had something to with the costs rising here.
They hav droped back to around $2.86-89 for the cheap stuff, last weekend it was $3.10-13
The problem is the oil companies know they hav us over a barrel(no pune intended), if we work or play, we need fuel to get us there.
I bet if 90% of the population would strike, and not buy gas for a couple days or a week, something would change, but for the better...
