There may not be a min. HP level for converters, but I'd think the stall speed would be lower with a lesser HP input. Someone correct me if I'm wrong..

it will not hurt any thing to have that on a lower hp motor, it will just work better with a bigger cam and more mods.

anyone wanna help me decide between what transmission to get? I heard B&M,TCI, Raptor,or Pro-built? Or should i just rebuilt my old one? if so what kind of transmission part do i buy so my tranny can handle something around 400+ hp? i have no clue with transmissions any help will be grreat!

i think TCI is the best for the money. B&M sucks. If you rebuild yours, take it to a tranny shop, call and see how much they will charge.

ok TCI it is...but should i get lock up or non lock up? what is lock up? is it just as reliable as a non lock up transmission...it says it come up a wire kit for the lock up...what does all this mean? also i'm planning to put a 400hp crate motor, there's a deal on tci streetfighter tranmission its rated at 450hp....will it be ok? or should i go super streetfighter thats rated at 600hp?

Lock up torque converter. Improves fuel mileage at cruise speed,

i had my 4l60e rebuilt 5 months ago 2 handle 500hp and it cost me 2300.
