Re: So many places to put this...

Now that is way more impressive than that other shit. But I don't like it. More of the art of driving is being taken out of the hands of the driver. I don't wanna live in this world:

I like actually driving my car. And believe it or not, I actually enjoy parallel parking too

Re: So many places to put this...

Oh, about the automatic parallel parking....I'd laugh that one day, some no-life computer nerd comes up with a virus and makes the iDrive take full control of the car while on the highway or something and then causes havoc...lol

Bleh... the parallel parking part is cool... Question is, once it gets you into a tight spot, can it get you back out?

I'll be impressed when we get Batmobile type technology when I push the button my belt and the car drives up to me... after it unfolds it's bullet proof caccoon shielding.

Then I'll be up for it.

Auto parallel parking neato, but if it got you in there it should be able to get you out. However how about after it parks the car with equal distance fore and aft then either the car in front or rear leaves and some other person parks there and takes away some of the 'auto pilot's' space can it get out then?

I'd like the shielding for anti-towing/theft .

Anyway it is all just new stuff you'll have to pay to get fixed because they will probably screw up some other system in the car or make it unsafe to drive with an auto parking pilot missing a screw.

Re: So many places to put this...

I think this is just for people who have to park their car in a small garage EVERY DAY. Or if you need to put more stuff in the garage, but can't because then you won't be able to get out. I think it would be nice to minimize the space needed for your car in the garage.

Personally I don't care to have it because I prefer a large area where I can work on the audio system, but when I'm 75 and have too many cars in my garage I'll appreciate this. And my aching back will also appreciate it.

who cares what it isnt practical for. The point is that it IS practical for some things.
