94 civic ex Water Pump removal and installation
Ok the things you need to know about the water pump is it is horribly designed and is extremely hard to get off. the places i got stuck were the crank pulley and keeping the timing belt from moving. ok now the problem we had getting the crank pulley off was the bolt was completely stuck and 1. you cant stick a screwdriver in the flywheel it strips the teeth 2. you cant put your car in gear and the e-brake on. you have a lot of play in your drivetrain 3. you cant have a buddly in the car in the car pressing on the brake either same as #2 4. the best way i found to get it off was rock the bolt back and forth with an impact wrench forward, reverse and repeat untill the bolt comes loose (it took me 3 hours to figure that out). other than thak its just a long day but doing it yourself saves you around 3 to 4 hundred dollars. the water pump was around $40 we replaced all the accessory belts which is a good idea to do also why you have all that off you might want to replace the timing belt so you dont have to go through this again thats all i have to say other than when you remove the motor monts make sure you jack the engine up with a floor jack and a peice of 2X4 on the oil pan so you don't crack it

Pics would be nice. Anyway, the crank pulley bolt is notorious for not comming off. A 1" drive impact will usually tackle it though...
