Actually, cops are not required to show you the radar readout, or anything else for that matter. If you would like to, you can ask in court for the most recent calibration report for that radar gun, although that holds no guarantee. Your best bet in this situation is just to pay the ticket and maybe throw in a statement while in court that you think police officers should drive more carefully and not tailgate/bright blind motorists on the road. If you get in a similar situation in the future, just pull over and let him pass. If he stops when you stop, tell him you thought he must've been in a real hurry the way he was tailgating you.
