Re: 300c

Hard to find a good race.....

That run with the Z06 was at the track May 10th.
His best that day was a 11.8 at 119.
Mine was a 12.6 at 115.4.
We got lined up once, but neither of us had a good run.

Re: 300c

I've heard/read that nitrous makes up for atmospheric conditions Luos, which is why I suggested for you to run it on your car. Essentially my understanding is that you will be running what you would at sea level with nitrous, irregardless of the altitude. Dunno if it is entirely true though.

Re: 300c

It isn't.

It helps, but nothing completely makes up for the lack of air.
I would be catching up basicly. At least to what it should run at sea level.
That is what a 75 shot would do for me.
Then...if I were to run at sea level with the shot, I would be that much faster.

I am just not a nitrous fan.
Seriously...how many N/A cars can run 11's with a DA of 7500???? Because that is my goal.

Re: 300c

doesnt nitrous bring your engine life down a lot though even if you have forged internals?

If you've got the car setup to run nitrous, not really... it'll burn it efficiently.

Just the same that properly tuned Turbocharged or SUpercharged motor runs.

Re: 300c

Depends on tune.
If mine was tuned for the bottle....it wouldn't hurt unless I decided to run something crazy.
My motor could easily take a 300 progressive shot.

Re: 300c

The power I make now is nothing.
I had this motor built to withstand insane numbers. Lunati rates the rods to 750 HP. Which is under-rated.

Lower compression AFR heads (72cc with .055 gaskets) and 15 PSI would be nice.

But for now...I will have to settle for the hybrid.

Re: 300c

Probably for quite some time.
11's are just a drive away. Get off this mountain and I am there.

Next big mod has to be the 12 bolt. That and slicks should get me into the 11's at Bandimere pretty easily...I hope.

Get some ET Streets, do a brake stand, and dump the clutch at 6K rpms. This is provided that you have the 12 bolt of course. I guarantee you'll be in the 1.7 and below range. Dunno how to aid you if your car lifts though.

Re: 300c

Hell...I shift at 6,000.

I am guessing my best launch point will be around 5200 RPM's. But I won't know that for a while.
