I wouldnt say that.. If I remember right, GM gave the name Camaro to Canada or the plant in Canada that was making em, and when GM like closed off production earlier than what was stated in the contract they got pissed off because the Camaro was part of their economy, so thats one of the biggest reasons why the Camaro was hard to bring out.. and this only regards the Camaro from what I remember.. dont know about the chicken.

If I am correct, I believe GM had to pay royalties of some sort to use the name "Trans Am" due to the race... I think, could be wrong
