5th gen in new Transformers movie

The Chevrolet Camaro Concept will star in the forthcoming “Transformers” movie, which is due for release on July 4th, 2007 (07-04-07). The film — which was first announced last year — is a collaboration between Paramount, DreamWorks, and Hasbro. Apparently, “Bumblebee” is going to start out as a 1970s Camaro, and then be rebuilt as a 2008/2009 Camaro. Meanwhile, “Starscream” is going to be an F-22 Raptor, and “Optimus Prime” is going to be a fire truck. Judging by the license plate on the new Camaro, tuner Saleen also has involvement with the project. A Saleen Mustang police car will also appear in the film.

Since these pics came up.. I personally like Saleen and wish that guy would do some special chevys like he does with ford.

Think about it this way, Saleen previously had the top spot on mustangs... now they don't and Shelby does.

Well considering that the new Shelby stang is rated a bit below if not equal to the Saleen stang, I dont think Shelby has the 'top spot' on anything..

well shelby did help design the viper and gt40 but the only thing carrying the shelby name plate is the new gt500 and the new gt hertz edition. are we saying shelby is loosing ground?

yea its an alright lookin concept.. i guess. if i was interested in an uptodate 1st gen id vouche for that package chevy has out.
as for the trans am concept(never going to be made, no way)

Ford dropped saleen a couple months ago i think. They are doing all of their performance stuff inhouse so i think they are doing anything now.

Ford doesn't own Saleen and never did.

My older twenty-three-year-old brother thinks the new Camaro convertible in the newest issue of Motor Trend looks cool and he mainly likes Porsches and BMWs.
