Key Fob - 2000 Regal LS
Recently I purchased a new key fob via EBAY. Read the thread regarding programming key fobs and noticed for my year model (2000), that I would need a scanning tool. Well instead of locating such tool or going to a local Buick dealer. I took it upon myself to program it with the prior year instructions. To my surprise it worked, and it's(fob) is fully functional. But the origional key fob no longer functions. Is there a way to get both fobs to function at the same time ?

When you ran the procedure did you do both remotes or only the new one. When programming you have to do all remotes that you plan on using up to a total of four.
The procedure for a 1999 Regal has been known to work on 2000 and up Regals.

Geez! Had a feeling that was going to be the response, ( both fobs at the same time ) Again, Thanks much "B", your an ace. BTW, got more questions to ask of you and the AF family regarding performance upgrades. Your last recommendations, are in the process, e.g. DHP, U bend delete and high flow CAT. Will get back to you asap, to ask and learn. Again thanks.
