It's a sin I say!
Just doing my help for the forums by clicking on the fast n the furious tokyo drift ad, helping to bring some revenue, when i see this.
the 67 mustang in the movie is powered by a 01 rb26 engine, and the 98 5spd nissan skyline 2wd tranny  it's a sin!

yeah we had this discussion a while ago, i agree with you whole heartedly, but you are going to have people here tell you that its not a sin and your stupid and it doesnt matter and that the mustang is better off that way.

interesting, the more people now know....either way i guess the stang now would be like launching a gt-s i think. the one with only rear wheel drive.

thats a shame i say! they should've kept the original motor inside the stang, it'll be kinda like american muscle vs. jdm, so you have a dude from the states bringing over his muslce car to show them a piece of american ass! instead of going to the dark side and converting it into jdm, dude,...these folks already know what an rb is, now show them real american muscle! blagggghhhh,...too bad, they should've let me made this movie.....

To say, "I put a Skyline motor in my Mustang, its the only one in the world like it. I'm so cool with my one of a kind."
And yes, Koenigsegg got rid of the Ford engine and have made their own, more powerful, stonger engine. And the Stig took his second stab at the new CCX with the all new Top Gear Wing ready for the track. Ill post the vid as soon as it comes out, lets just say the Zonda F better watch out.

the RB26DETT was actually in the Tommy Kaira ZZ II. a 500hp Mid engine AWD beast that can hit 200mph.
also the advantage of having a RB26 in the stang is that it can rev sky high and much much broader power band. lets say 9000 rpm of revs and probrably 7000rpm of actual power. heres the tommy kaira ZZ II.

Damn that car looks sweet, I always see it on Grand Turismo but I've never tried it, is it Japanese, kinda looks Euro but it has the RB so iono.
And about the Mustang I don't really care if you swap in a different engine, it's their car so if they want to do it, I say more power to them. I wish I had the kinda money to put badass engines in nice looking cars.

lol..i always see that car in the Gran Turismo too. Looks real nice in real life.

Tat changed his avatar!  back on topic, I guess the Tommy K. is a "super car". I dunno I still think its stupid. BTW did you know Mr. Tommy Kaira was a pro Rally driver? I have to check my old mags but he used to drive for Subaru and I think he was the 97 or 96 Champ.......or was he second up and Tommy Makinnen the champ? I dont know gotta look it up.
