Question

any of you guys seen this before?

Spoon Magnetic Drain Plugs

I used to have these on my acura. One for the transmission, and one for the oil.
Can't say that I noticed any HUGE chunks of metal on the things... but i guess you never know.
Oil drain plug was always a little hard to put in becuase the dang thing would get stuck to the oil pan instead of going into the hole.

I guess it's nice "psychological" insurance for your motor...

Actually its really good physical insurance for your motor as well. At least the oil plug is. Things tend to wear, and especially if your installing new stuff like cams.

www.superplug.com - they seem to have the best one out there. $25 I think, I tried to order one months ago and they were out of stock. They might have some now.

actually....

the best thing you can do for ANY car engine (especially the G20 which is very picky about frequent oil changes) is to install what is called a pre-oiler... used by race car drivers...

I've never installed one myself... so I can't say much other than I've been told over and over how this (other than frequent oil changes) is to do this...

anyone else heard of this and or done it?
