Re: vr4 question

You can check the engine code yourself you know. Do a google search on what you have to do or else someone else on here I'm sure has done it before(I havent).

Re: vr4 question

Don't pay somebody $75 to pull a code from the ECU

If it's a 91-93:

http://www.stealth316.com/2-diagcodes91-93.htm

Or you could buy a cheap datalogger (great to have for a multitude of reasons)

94-95 you could get a datalogger as well

96-99 You can take to any Autozone and they will pull the code for free.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

Re: vr4 question

Well i took my car to the mitsubishi dealership today to get scanned. It was a code 41. He said one of my fuel injectors on the rear bank, is stuck open. I had been smelling a lot of gas, so i hope thats why its keeps cutting off because its flooding. He said the injectors are 170 doallrs a peice through them. Anyone know where you can get them cheaper? The probelm is they could not tell which one in the back was stuck open, but he said once you took it apart you should be able to tell. While i got it down, im going to put new plugs and wires on it. Any other suggestions>??

$170...sounds about right...for a stealership.

find one cheaper? uhhh...ya. 3si.org--> parts for sale section (http://www.3si.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=4). you could probably pick one up for 30 bucks shipped.

best of luck to ya. hope this fixes the problem. is the dealership gonna do the labor, or are you? plugs and wires are a simple change, and the injectors are easy as well. if you have a few basic tools, you should do it. always good to have experience.

you cannot register if you have a free e-mail address (like yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc). your ISP should provide with an e-mail account. use that e-mail address (like [email protected], [email protected], [email protected])
