Lets drop the insults folks

I've been noticing too many insults on the Blazer forum the last few days.

I hope that we are all here to either
A. Learn something about any vehicle
B. Find out some helpfull info about our Blazers
C. Share out knowledge with others.
D. Communicate with other car buffs, and get to know them a little.

We should not be here to insult others in an way.

I wouldn't be suprised if the moderators start giving short vacations from Automotive Forums for the second offense, and permant suspensions for serious offenses.

Blazee, I know that this belongs in the Off Topic thread, but hope that you'll let is slide this time. I'm not convinced that everyone goes in there

I for one do not go in there. I find it to hard to keep up on all the latest posts. But I do agree I am here to listen and learn, and if I can, help.

in no way am i insaulting a mod., not in this section or any other, but i think seince weve had a mod around in this section (starting right after blazerlt got it originally) things have gotten worse, every one use to look out for each other, and even though this is an online board and that sounds loserish, people had respect for each other, and now that we have got moderators around, people have seam to have taken the lazy route and looked the other way, as if jellous they aren't modding, or that its not their job to say something, and its gotten sickening around here.

It's all about the ego, everyone has to be right. Lets face it, very few of us are GM Mechanics. We are all interested in what we do, however, and I am sure many of us research these kinds of things as we would anything else. Of course there are going to be differing opinions, just respect others as you would like to be respected, it's a simple as that.

have i been so into things going on at home, im not seeing insults and member bashing?? edit. scrolled up and saw link. I was confused yesterday Stu, when theres no linky for clicky yet lol. Doug's here like us, out of free time and enjoyment of our S-10's and Blazers. The thing is, he's got a lot of experience working with GM vehicles and other makers. I know thers more of ya too, but don't know all of you.

lol. i know. i left outlook open to notify me of new postings, and stop painting just to get away for a few minutes. I'm learning that i am not a good painter. Im thinking I'll be done by the end of the month for the main floor.

That wasn't an insult - just an observation. An inult would have been somewhere along the line of calling him a jerk or stupid and knows nothing.

Ah yes, you have just hit the head of a huge nail! In this world of political correctness(which I tend not to follow) one can no longer make a joke or poke a little fun without offending someone - usually a person not invoved or included in the poking. This is why the workplace has become such an uncomfortable place to be.
